Perhaps it will attract the attention this kind of issue deserves.<br />The deficit or lack thereof and to what degree is not the issue. The issue is that removing money from the pockets of public workers is not the way to generate revenue for a state. The Senator's bill would undermine the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 which limits the ways in which an employer can react to workers organizing to protect their own rights. We're talking about the good 'ol wages/conditions/hours thing we all read about in highschool. <br /><br />Read more if you don't know what I'm talking about, please: http://www.nlrb.gov/rights-we-protect/employee-rights<br /><br />This bill will affect us all and is a loop hole for any employer - public or private - to ignore any worker's rights. There are better ways for a state to save money than to bypass federal laws.
